Brody and Lloyd

I just wanted to post this picture of Brody and my grandfather Lloyd. This is such a great picture of him!

Bulldozers!

Brody loves anything that has to do with bulldozers or any other digging equipment! Every time we are driving down the road he points out all the equipment that we see, and he will correct you if you call the equipment by the wrong name. Joel had a bulldozer at one of the houses that he was building and we went to see it. Brody was very excited. We have a large field beside our house and they have mowed it recently, Brody also loves tractors and has enjoyed getting to watch this. We walked over and sat him on top of one of the hay bales to take his picture. We will look forward to seeing the tractors again in a few months. Our garden is really coming along well! Here is a picture of its progress. Sawyer is walking all over! She is so cute! She is having outpatient surgery tomorrow for a plugged tear duct, please say a prayer for her, although it is a very simple surgery there is always risks. We are getting ready for her to turn 1! This has really been difficult for me! They just grow up too fast! My grandfather, Lloyd Franklin, passed away yesterday. He was such a sweet man and always so good to me. I lived with him and my grandmother through most of high school and college. I know he is in a much better place now and he is no longer in pain. The Lord blessed him with a long life, he will be missed!!!

Pigtails and Fire Engines

Brody wanted me to put Sawyer on the back of his fire engine today so she could ride around with him. They just looked so cute sitting there together! Surprisingly they sat there long enough for me to get the camera. Sawyer's hair is starting to get in her eyes a little bit, so I decided to try some pigtails! They looked so cute, even though I don't think she really has enough hair.

Sawyer 11 months old!!

So hard to believe that I am already posting her 11 months picture! She started walking everywhere yesterday! It is so cute to watch. I really think I am going to have a harder time with her turning one than I did when Brody did. She has had a hard time this month cutting teeth, but she is still so sweet, and such a happy girl. She now says, momma, daddy, baby, doggie, uh oh and weee! She has developed quite the temper. She has a meltdown most of the time when she has her diaper changed. I really do feel like I was just pregnant with her the other day! Where does the time go?!

Silly Faces!

Here are a few recent pictures. We have another large garden this year and we are really excited about it! Brody and I spent alot of time last week digging for worms in the garden. He would dig in the dirt all day if he could! I cant wait for some fresh veggies. Mamaw says she will come over and help me can some things, I am really looking forward to that! We actually share the garden with Joel's mom and stepdad. Mike and Margie have actually done all the planting so far, hopefully I will be able to help more this year than I did last year (new baby kept me a little busy!). Brody was enjoying making some silly faces for the camera

and then looking at them on the camera screen! Sawyer is still just taking a few steps but has not taken off just yet, she is saying "uh oh" and "doggie"! So cute! I tried giving her a bath in the sink one day, she liked it a first and then she was over it! Oh well, I will have to try again soon!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! Brody and I dyed eggs on Friday, which he wanted to hide right then! It is hard for a little boy to wait. On Saturday night when I got off work we made cupcakes with Easter sprinkles (of course!). Brody and Sawyer both enjoyed their Easter baskets on Sunday morning. It was difficult to keep Brody from eating all the candy at once!! After church and a great message about living the "Resurrection" life, we spent time with family and hid eggs. Brody had difficulty understanding why he could not hide and find the eggs! My niece Karis really enjoyed hunting eggs. We are so blessed! and what better day than Easter to be reminded of our blessings and what our Lord and Savior did for us! I hope everyone had a great Easter!

Sawyer 10 months old!

Another month has flown by! Our girl now has her 2 top teeth for a total of 4 teeth! She has taken about 1 1/2 steps on her own but she is not brave enough to let go and try to walk longer than that yet. She is such a sweet girl. If Brody is laying on the floor she crawls over to him as fast as she can and lays on him and giggles like its the best thing ever! She has a plugged tear duct in her left eye and we saw the pediatric eye doctor this week. She will be on steroid eye drops and oral antibiotics for about 4 weeks, hopefully that will clear it up if not she will have the tear duct probed while under anesthesia. Brody is doing well. We have started back to mothers day out and he is doing well with that. We are still working on the potty training! He is the most entertaining child! He was laying with Joel and I the other night and said "we are best friends aren't we?" How precious is that?! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend! It has been interesting trying to explain the resurrection to a 2 1/2 yr old but we are getting there! I hope everyone remembers the sacrifice that Jesus made for our sins!
